Netscape

Netscape actually requires very little configuration. The only two options that most people ask to configure in Netscape has to do with Mail and News. We have included the recommended settings for these two areas of Netscape here.

After loading Netscape onto your computer, run the program.

click Options
select Mail and News Preferences
select the Servers Tab

Fill in these fields

Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server: carroll.com
Incoming Mail (POP) Server: carroll.com
POP User Name: (your login name)
Maximum Message Size: check NONE
Messages are copied from the server to the local disk: check Removed from the Server

Select the Identity Tab, and fill in these fields

Your Name: (your real name)
Your Email: (your login)@carroll.com
Your Organization: Carroll-Net, Inc.
click Ok
