| Can
selective E-Mail addresses be forwarded to other
online service accounts? |
|
The
Carroll-Net Message Server supports a facility called
mail forwarding. With it, you can mark certain
addresses to be redirected to other addresses. These
redirected addresses can be to addresses not within
your company domain.
For
example, say you have a salesman who spends most of
his time out of the office. Say he reads E-Mail
through his personal Internet account. You could
designate that E-Mail addressed to him at your company
be redirected to his personal Internet account.

| How
can our salesman check their E-Mail from the road? |
|
The
Message Server supports an optional Remote Access
module. With this add-on, your users can direct dial
into the Message Server to pickup their E-mail, no
matter where they are.
This
is a great solution for a mobile sales force,
telecommuters and offsite network consultants.

| Does
the Carroll-Net Message Server support mailing lists? |
|
The
Message Server directly supports E-Mail mailing lists,
sometimes called address exploders. With mailing
lists, E-Mail sent to one address can be redistributed
to a group of addresses.
This
is a great feature to use for inter-office memos. It
can also be a great tool for sending announcements out
to customers very quickly.

| Can
I send document attachments with my E-Mail? |
|
The
Carroll-Net Message Server completely supports all
forms of message attachments. This means you can send
any type of data as an E-Mail attachment:
-
Word
Processor documents
-
Spreadsheets
-
Images
-
Sound
Files
-
Movies
If
the information can be stored in a computer data file,
it can be sent as an E-Mail attachment.

| Can
my E-Mail be automatically printed on paper? |
|
Printing
your E-Mail to paper is a function of the mail client
you select. Most of the popular clients support
automatically printing messages to paper.
If
you have not made a selection of a mail client, and
you are looking for a good recommendation for a client
that supports auto-hardcopy, we recommend the Pegasus
mail program. It supports mail filtering, with several
definable actions. Carroll-Net can provide you with
the detailed instructions on how to setup this
capability on your workstation.
