Internet Dial-up is a method of connecting to the Internet through standard telephone lines. It is most cost-effective if utilized in connection with a Flat Rate calling plan provided by your local telephone company. With Dial-up service your computer dials one of our local access numbers to connect to the Internet.  As opposed to a dedicated ISDN or  T1 line, this type of connection is open only when in use.

Dial-up access is available everywhere and is a cost-effective method for intermittent or light Internet usage. Dial-up is the most commonly used among residential and small business customers. If all you want is email and occasional Internet access, dial-up may be for you.

We don't think so.  Businesses have mission critical applications, including email that are delivered over the Internet.  Our experience is that DSL has outages that can last anywhere from a few hours to four (4) days and it makes no difference what company is providing it.  Other than the Bells, there are only two other company's actually providing DSL.  All other companies offering it are resellers.
